Passion Project

A Passion Project encourages K–12 educators to explore interests beyond the classroom and consider how those experiences can enrich teaching and learning. Whether tending a garden, painting, woodworking, photography, cooking, or volunteering, personal hobbies often develop skills such as patience, creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance. Educators can bring those experiences back to the classroom by designing authentic lessons, creating hands-on learning opportunities, and building stronger connections with students. By drawing from their own interests, teachers expand their instructional approaches while modeling the value of lifelong learning.
